A brief explainer of how ZineDistro.com will work in the future.

Zinedistro.com is a new online hub simplifying how zines reach readers. We partner with zinesters and publishers on a consignment basis (for now), handling all warehousing and order fulfillment. This frees up creators from the complexities of distribution and shipping, allowing them to focus on their passion. Zine makers also benefit from prompt payments for their work everytime a zine sells.

Whether you're looking to discover unique zines or a hassle-free way to share your publications, zinedistro.com is aiming to be your go-to destination.

Potential FAQs

What is the revenue split between a zine pubslisher and ZineDistro.com?
Revenue Split.jpg__PID:9cb53dee-d4e6-4b15-af7c-940a08ee9cf6

Our 60/40 revenue split ensures zine publishers receive 60% of the retail price from each sale. Zinedistro.com's 40% share covers our operational costs, including labor, packing materials, warehouse rent, marketing, and transaction fees.

What kinds of zines wil you carry?

We want to carry all sorts of zines. Perzines, fanzines, political zines, music zines, photo zines, etc.

A core part of our philosophy is that zines are art, and we firmly believe the talented artists and creators behind them deserve to be paid for their work. And we want to be a branch of support for as many zinesters as possible.

I am a zinester/zine publisher. What do you need from me to carry my zines?

Great question! We need a lot, actually.

TL;DR
If you are interested in us carrying your zines, please email us at admin@zinedistro.com.

We are still working on our application system. But we will need a decent amount of information from each zinester and/or publisher including W-9s, bios for the authors, descriptions for the zines, photos if you have them (we are working on setting up a free photo service for zines we carry), and a lot more we will probably find as we continue building out the site. But for now, we aren't afraid to make this a super manual process to get this site going.

What is ZineDistro.com's plan for the future?

You gotta love a good road map. Here are some things we hope to do in the future:

  • Free photos taken at our warehouse for all of the zines we carry.
  • Limited edition print and bind services
  • Crowdfunded zine projects
  • Zine Subscription Plans (new zines every month)
  • Zine Digital Archive Network Project
